Wongster 11 years ago #4. That would actually indicate that your inventory is full, and the only way to pick up the weapon would be to swap it with whatever weapon you're currently equipped with. Since the weapon you said is higher than your current level, you can't swap it in. Do take note that empty weapon slots does not mean you have space

No, that when you die, the weapons that broke on that trie stay broken, yet the enemies start over back at full health. Basically if you don’t get it on the first try it gets harder to near impossible when you have no weapons left. Yes that is one view based on looking at traditional game overs.
