It was their first attempt at electric steering and without trying an e89 i bet it feels worse than all bmw’s both before and after it. It is definitely worse than a 3 series or mini at the time which still used hydraulic. That said, the e89 is even less of a real sports car that the e85 is so steering might have the same issues.
